On The Road Detail ("we", "us", "our") is a mobile car detailing business based in Wadsworth, Ohio. This policy explains what information we collect when you visit ontheroaddetail.com, book a detail, contact us, or interact with our ads on Facebook and Instagram, and how we use it. We keep this simple: we use your information to do your detail and run our business, and we do not sell it.

Information we collect

Information you give us

Booking and quote requests: your name, phone number, email address (optional), service address, the vehicle you drive, the services you pick, your preferred dates and times, and any notes you add.
Gift bookings: the recipient's name and phone number and your gift message, if you buy a detail for someone else.
Membership sign-ups: the same details as a booking, plus the vehicle the membership covers.
Calls, texts, emails and messages: what you send us when you contact us, including through Facebook or Instagram.
Ad lead forms: if you fill out a lead form on Facebook or Instagram, the information you submit (such as your name, phone and email) is shared with us so we can follow up with you.
Photos of your vehicle: photos you send us, and photos we take of your vehicle's condition before and after a service.

Information collected automatically

Website and ad activity: when you visit our site, tools such as the Meta Pixel and cookies may collect your IP address, browser and device type, the pages you view, and actions such as starting a booking or tapping to call.
Saved progress: a half-finished booking is saved in your own browser (local storage) so you don't lose it. It stays on your device until you finish or clear it.

How we use your information

To schedule, confirm, perform and follow up on your detail, membership or gift.
To give you a quote and confirm your final price after we see your vehicle.
To contact you by call, text or email about your appointment, your quote or your membership.
To process payments, handle merchandise orders, and keep business records.
To measure and improve our website and our Facebook and Instagram ads, and to show our ads to people who are likely to be interested.
To protect our business, prevent fraud, and comply with the law.

Facebook, Instagram and the Meta Pixel

We advertise on Facebook and Instagram, which are services of Meta Platforms, Inc. Our site uses the Meta Pixel, which lets Meta collect information about how you use our site (for example, that you viewed a page or started a booking). We use this to see how our ads perform and to show our ads to people who may be interested. If you are logged in to Facebook or Instagram, Meta may connect this activity to your account. Meta's handling of that information is described in Meta's Privacy Policy.

You can control ads in the Ad Preferences section of your Facebook or Instagram settings, or opt out of interest-based advertising at optout.aboutads.info. You can also block cookies in your browser settings.

Who we share information with

We do not sell your personal information. We share it only with the service providers that help us run the business, and only as needed:

Google (Sheets, Calendar and Gmail) to store bookings, schedule appointments and send confirmations, and Google Fonts to display our site.
Square to process payments. We never see or store your full card number.
Meta (Facebook and Instagram) for advertising and measurement, as described above, and to receive lead-form submissions.
Printify to fulfill merchandise orders.
Elfsight and TikTok, whose tools display our Google reviews and videos on the site.
Netlify, which hosts our website.
Authorities or other parties when the law requires it, or to protect our rights, our customers or our property.

If our business is ever sold or reorganized, customer information may transfer to the new owner under the same protections.

Calls and text messages

By giving us your phone number, you agree that we may call or text you about your booking, quote, appointment or membership. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to any text to stop receiving texts from us. We do not share your phone number with third parties for their own marketing.

How long we keep it

We keep booking and customer records for as long as we need them to serve you, keep our business records, and meet legal and tax requirements. After that we delete or anonymize them. You can ask us to delete your information sooner (see below).

Your choices and rights

You can ask us to tell you what personal information we hold about you, correct it, or delete it. You can also tell us to stop contacting you. Email OnTheWVRoadDetail@gmail.com or call (330) 696-3422 and we will respond within 30 days. If you live in a state with consumer privacy laws, you may have additional rights, and we will honor valid requests.

How to delete your data

Send an email to OnTheWVRoadDetail@gmail.com with the subject "Delete my data" and the name and phone number you used. We will delete your information from our records within 30 days, except what we must keep for legal, tax or accounting reasons.

Security

We use reputable providers and reasonable safeguards to protect your information. No method of storing or sending data is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Children

Our services and website are for adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has given us information, contact us and we will delete it.

Links to other sites

Our site links to other websites, such as Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, Google and our merchandise store. Their privacy practices are their own, and we encourage you to read their policies.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. The effective date at the top shows when it was last changed. Continuing to use our site after a change means you accept the updated policy.
